Dear Members of Provincial Parliament,

NRSP just issued a CNW Newswire press release about the coming used oil heater ban and the total lack of response from Minister Broten to our April 20, 2007 and other enquiries on the issue. It is disappointing indeed that we have had to go to this extent simply to try to get the Minister to help us understand how she came to her decision. As we have mentioned to the media often, if Minister Broten’s decision is based on a careful and unbiased environmental assessment, one would assume she would want a non-profit, non-partisan group such as NRSP to publicize that fact.

We remain open to hearing from the Minister about how her decision was made and hope she will respond soon.
